The STAGEPAS 500 was developed after numerous requests from end users who liked the STAGEPAS 300, but wanted just a little more. A little more power, larger woofers, more inputs were all addressed in the STAGEPAS 500. Designed to give quality minded musicians, performers, speakers and other presenters a solution for their smaller performances the STAGEPAS 500 delivers without sacrificing high fidelity and professional appearance. The mixer of the STAGEPAS 500 also contains the two 250 watt digital power amplifiers, and it resides in the back of one of the two passive loudspeakers that complete the system. The other loudspeaker has a convenient accessory compartment for the included speaker cables or other gear. This mixer has 10 total inputs. 4 are mono and can accept either microphone or line level instruments, and there are three stereo inputs to accept line level stereo sources like keyboards or CD players. Digital reverb is included onboard the mixer along with EQ or tone controls. In addition to providing simple operation, the mixer will operate installed in the speaker cabinet, out on a table or on a microphone stand with the optional adapter. Simple quarter turn fasteners allow easy removal and replacement with a coin.. The loudspeakers systems offer an 10” long travel woofer and 1” titanium high frequency driver assuring full fidelity sound. The travel cases are custom fit to the STAGEPAS 500 and make transporting the system a breeze. Weighing around 50 lbs, this system plays well beyond its size with remarkable fidelity.

  • Offers performance well beyond its size and complexity
  • 10-input stereo powered mixer
  • Dual 250-watt amplifiers
  • Loudspeakers with 10 inch woofers and titanium compression drivers
  • Total weight under 57 lbs

'Inside a Silent Tear' (Blossom Dearie) - Accompanying a applesauce singer.

Another video recorded recently - a great song by Blossom Dearie and Linda Albert. This was our first play through - so both of us were a little unsure! I prepared a bass and drum track by typing the chords into 'Band in a Box' and had their 'Real Tracks' prepare a bass and drums backing track. Some have asked about the method we use for recording - the H4n (lying on the top of the piano) is recording directly the vocal with the mike connected directly to one side of a stereo track - the other track is recording a direct line from the piano as the backing track is playing from a small MP3 player connected into the piano. At the same time, I am recording the midi data on the Yamaha P-250 piano, so that I can create the notation and keyboard view I have added to the video. We are wearing headphones so that there is no spill of piano and backing into the vocal track, yet we can both monitor the sound quite clearly. I will put the video, a transcription of the piano accompaniment, and the bass and drums backing track on my website at www.bushgrafts.com I split the keyboard into piano and in the treble 2 octaves an accordian type patch (on Yamaha's XG patch list the 'Tango Accordian')
